IEAH - The Fraud Doesn't Stop Here - Continued

Timeline continued

September 13th, 2012 - Invoices for shipping and registration fees for horses from third group are generated. Again, a majority of the horses from this group are already registered. The only reason these invoices are prepared is to inflate the costs to Mr. Roberts. Mr. Roberts again complains of the costs. Robbins, Iavarone and Larson agree to contact Roberts to extend an offer of no bills on the horses from the third group (she is being paid by the true owners for the upkeep of these horses). Roberts accepts the offer

September 30th, 2012 - Sixth board bill for first group of horses and fourth board bill for second group of horses is generated

October 1st, 2012 - Roberts sends payment of $3,000 to Heather Larson

October 9th, 2012 - Robbins purchases five weanlings at the Fasig Tipton sale in Saratoga - three are RNA's including Roaring Fever - Lillyatthehelm, Roaring Fever - Emily Ha Ha, and Northern Afleet - Fast Learner

October 12th, 2012 - Callup Sara 2010, from second group of horses, is given away for free due to pastern issues. Please note horse was still at NY farm and Roberts would continue to be billed for this horse even after it's departure.

October 23rd, 2012 - Roberts sends payment of $6,000 to Heather Larson

October 25th, 2012 - Robbins purchases a truck and horse trailer for Heather Larson as part of her "payment" for assisting Robbins and Iavarone with deal with Roberts

October 31st, 2012 - Seventh board bill for first group of horses and fifth board bill for second group of horses is generated. A board bill for the third group is created but not sent

November 2nd, 2012 - Roberts sends payment of $5,500 to Heather Larson

November 16th, 2012 - As Roberts is not sending enough money to properly care for all of these horses, and he continues to complain about boarding costs, Larson and Robbins decide the best course of action is to begin returning those that have not been put in training, or those that have very little ability and wouldn't be able to be sold at a good price. Plan is being put into place to keep Roberts "happy"

November 20th, 2012 - Open Your Eyes 2010, Scorchin' Blues 2010, and Maritime Brass 2010 leave the Hudson, NY farm and are returned to Al Geldmacher's Centennial Farm.

November 22nd, 2012 - Robbins, Iavarone and Larson decide to present Roberts with an offer to "trade" a large number of the horses from the first three groups for two of the RNA weanlings purchased at the Fasig Tipton sale in October. Roberts is lead to believe that these two weanlings are sales toppers and are some of the best babies from the 2012 North American crop.

November 29th, 2012 - Bill of sale is created to trade horses and is executed by Roberts

November 30th, 2012 - Eighth board bill for first group of horses and sixth board bill for second group of horses is generated. A second board bill for the third group is created but not sent

December 1st, 2012 - Larson continues to badger Roberts for payment on board bill. He presents a timeline of events to Heather indicating his money problems and the reasons why.

IEAH - The Fraud Doesn't Stop Here

In light of IEAH returning to thoroughbred racing headlines, I decided that I would post information regarding another situation in which Michael Iavarone, head of IEAH, was involved on a personal basis - acting as agent for a long time IEAH shareholder, John Roberts. Both Ray Paulick and Joe Drape didn't feel as though this situation was important enough to be made public. I, on the other hand, couldn't disagree more.

Michael Iavarone, Sanford Robbins and Heather Larson conspired together to commit fraud against John Roberts by offering him a group of "high profile, New York bred, yearlings and two year olds", all approved as outstanding specimens by Michael Iavarone. The purchase price of these horses for John Roberts? $1.5 million. The amount that Sanford Robbins would spend to purchase and flip the horses to John Roberts? $10,700.

Here is a timeline of events from March to September of 2012:
Late March of 2012 - Michael Iavarone and Sanford Robbins contact Heather Larson and request that she begin a search of "cheap" New York bred yearling and two year olds - horses with stud fees due, unregistered horses are all open for discussion.

Also note that horses that were property of Al Geldmacher, although billed to Mr. Roberts for training, never made it to Heather Larson's Ocala, Florida facility and were boarded with turn out at farm in Hudson, NY
June 30th, 2012 - Third board bill for first group of horses and first board bill for second group of horses generated
July of 2012 - Michael Iavarone wires Heather Larson a total of $26,000 during the month for upkeep of horses for John Roberts

August 15th, 2012 - Sanford Robbins and Michael Iavarone create a fake sale of one of the horses - two year old colt by Griffinite out of Desert Drive to make it look as though one of the horses has been sold to generate income. Sale price is $80,000, which is deducted from John Roberts bill with Heather Larson. Larson keeps possession of the colt.

Early September of 2012 - Robbins, Iavarone, and Larson create a third package of horses to sell to John Roberts using horses owned by other parties that are already in training at Larson's Ocala facility. While Robbins is paid for the purchase of these horses by John Roberts, no money is distributed to the rightful owners of these horses. The third group of horses consists of the following:
